Due to popular demand, we are pleased to announce the reprinting of Alister Somerville's 1985 history "Hemmingford Then and Now".
This 232 page 8 1/2 x 11 softcover tells the story of the beginnings of Hemmingford, Quebec up to modern times.  There is considerable reference to the early families who settled, the village as it was in 1900, the earliest churches, schools, businesses, services and more.

There is now available an online index of persons mentioned in "Hemmingford Then and Now". Please note that, at this time, this index is only available online.

About the author:  Henry Alister Darby Somerville was, among many other things, the MLA (Member of the Quebec Legislative Assembly) for Huntingdon County from 1952 to 1965.  He was also the author of "Huntingdon County and Town".
